Educator · Curriculum Builder · Ensemble Director
My Work in Education
For over twenty years I’ve built musical theatre programs from the ground up — writing curriculum, directing ensembles, and leading institutions — because the same craft that makes a song land on stage is what makes a lesson land in a classroom.
Philosophy
Great theatre training isn’t a watered-down version of the professional stage — it’s the ground it’s built on.
I build programs and classrooms where students learn the same rigor, craft, and emotional honesty that professional musical theatre demands, taught in a way that meets each performer where they are.
Areas of Expertise
Four ways I bring theatre training to life.
Curriculum Design
Built A–G accredited performing arts curriculum from the ground up as Executive Director of Arts & Teachers at Encore Education Corporation, including faculty hiring and institutional accreditation.
Ensemble & Choral Direction
Founded and directed an a cappella group and jazz ensemble at Orange County School of the Arts; music directed and conducted conservatory training at South Coast Repertory Theatre and McCoy Rigby Conservatory.
New Works Development
Co-created the New Works Program at Saddleback College, giving student writers and performers a pipeline from page to staged reading — the same process behind my own musical, Angel’s Playhouse.
Classroom & Studio Instruction
Taught musical theatre writing, voice, and drama at the high school, college, and conservatory level — from Woodbridge and San Clemente High Schools to Young Americans College of the Arts.
